Buying Mooncake

Mid Autumn Festival is just around the corner... & since Daddy's back for 1 day, we decided to rush down to Takashimaya for our yearly mooncake buying... :)

Eating Black Pig shabu shabu & Ton Katsu @ Tampopo while Mummy & Daddy ponders over all the different mooncake brochures from the hotels

Megan entertaining herself while Daddy squeezes into the "people mountain people ocean" to purchase the mooncakes...
All in all, the damage to Daddy's pocket was over S$500... ;p

The Regent Singapore - Parma Ham with Assorted Nuts

Yan Ting (St Regis Singapore) - Selection of Snow Skin Mooncakes.
The highlight for this season was Ginger infused Milk Snow Skin Mooncake with Century Egg & Custard Paste

The Fullerton - Selection of Snow Skin Mooncakes
The perennial best-seller is the Chocolate Baileys in Snow Skin

The 2 girls with their lanterns... Yup, even Sara got a mini lantern...

Sara really likes to frown like her Daddy!!!

Doha Day 14

Sigh... Today's our last day in Doha... Going to miss spending time with Daddy...

And there are so much luggage to pack!!!

We came here with 2 hand carry & 3 big luggage, & we're going back with 2 hand carry, 3 big luggage & 1 big box!!!

So Daddy will be getting a couple of his friends and Mummy's ex-boss to send us (& our mountain of luggage) to the airport later tonight...

Sara sucking on Megan's bottle... Literally!!!

Doha Day 13

Mummy was home alone with the kiddos while Daddy went to work... Luckily for Mummy, both kids were relatively well-behaved and Daddy bought back lunch during his lunch time... After work, Daddy also brought us out to the Souq for dinner... :)

But sadly, today also marks our 2nd last day in Doha... Mummy going to get teary eyes again... Coz the day after Daddy flies back with us to Singapore, he'll be flying back to Doha again... And Mummy would only be able to see Daddy only after another 3 to 4 months... 8(

So funny... Why are the milk powder bought in Doha manufactured in Singapore while the ones bought from Singapore are manufactured in Ireland???

Mummy, by some divine intervention, managed to put both kids to nap at the same time!!!

Dancing Megan with the 60's look
(If you look closely, you'll notice that she's carrying a princess jewellery bag on each arm)

Souq in the night time

Tonight's dinner was at Altawash where they serve traditional Qatar cuisine

Yet another long corridor that leads to the restaurant

The restaurant was decorated such that it felt as though you were dinning under a tent... Nice!!!

For starters, we had a Bab Ghanooj and Meat (Lamb) Kabsa, Thireed Chicken for mains.
As we weren't sure if Megan would like what we were eating, we ordered a plate of fried chicken wings for her.
Bab Ghanooj is basically a cold dish with egg plant, garlic, pomegranate amongst other stuff.
The Meat Kabsa tasted like refined Biryani with super tender lamb while the Thireed Chicken was pretty unique as the bottom of the bowl was filled with bread.
Yummy!!!

A rare photo of Mummy
(Esp since she's normally the one with the camera)

Megan enjoying her fried chicken wings

Does Daddy think that Sara's pacifier look delicious???

Mummy's favourite people in the whole wide world

Megan in the same sweet shop that she visited 2 years ago
Hmm... Is she asking for 10 sweets???

As usual, Sara can only look on while the rest of us try out the different sweets
;p
